Dual citizens who live overseas

Anonymous
Has anybody recently returned to the US. They gave me a hard time before Trump cause they hate people who have 2 nationalities- any recent experiences?

No one has ever given me a hard time… except once when I forgot my American passport. Whoops! Could not get on the plane, Had to go home and try again the next day. No one has ever asked any weird or lengthy questions at Dulles or any other American airport. All standard questions as when I would travel before we moved.

I’m genuinely confused by your question. ??? Does CBP stop you and ask multiple questions? If so, it might be because you have a common name, nationality, and birth date. Not because you have two passports.

I disbelieve. European countries I visit never stamp my passport and I never need a visa. My passport is enpty. CBP at Dulles never asks me about this.

Came in Sunday to Dulles just fine. Use the mobile app. I used to have questions years ago but now that countries don't stamp and just scan I haven't had any issues. I only use my US passport to come in and go out of US. I use my EU passport every place else easily and often.
