I want to interview you for my podcast -- new (to me) pickup line

Anonymous
I finally realized that people are asking me to be on their podcasts as a way to flirt and hang out. It makes so much sense in hindsight. Did everyone else know this already? If you didn't, now you do!

Oh man. I was a journalist for a long time and I would sometimes ask men to be interviewed for an article who then assumed that I was flirting and would start up a flirtation with me! But, I actually was not flirting and was simply trying to write an article bc I needed to file x number of articles per week or whatever.

Lol, remembering now getting a late night text from one of these guys that said "I'm writing an article about YOU"

I seriously genuinely was just trying to write something.

Everyone is a reporter, podcaster, and E-celeb now, in their own minds.

Still about the same level of flirting as "I am going to write a song about you!" and you get some cheesy Mad Libs version of a song, where the guy simply replaces the fill in the blank portions of the song with the new girl's name.

Another narcissist thinking they're getting hit on constantly.

Sorry this happened to you! Being a journalist and writing articles is so much more professional than people with fake podcasts
