| With budget cuts, tariffs and many things leading to ultimately affecting the elderly, homeless, poor and disabled, I wanted to know how to help this vulnerable population. |
| Donating to food pantries and volunteering to serve meals. Pressuring the city and the City to come up with more viable ways to solve the homeless situation. |
| Meals on wheels will need to be replaced with donated food. Senior centers need donations to stay open. |
|
Make whole wheat bread and distribute it to needy. Basic food cures hunger and same dollar will help more than a charity would after taking 80 cents in their own pay and expenses.
May be your friends would get inspired and do the same. |

Baking bread is easy and doesn't have to be perfect. So is baking potatoes.
|
| Run for elections and support good candidates on every level. |
| Don’t help them. All of these homeless organizations only make the problem worse. They encourage homeless people to migrate from other areas and the homeless population gets even larger. They are like stray cats you can’t be too nice or they will never leave. |
| All homeless people from high cost of living urban centers to low cost of living areas with mental health care centers and easy work opportunities. |
lol |
|
Wanna help them? Elect people who will put them in mental hospitals and institutions where they belong.
It is shameful to allow people who cannot care for themselves to live outside and self-medicate with alcohol and drugs. They don’t allow this in Europe or cities in Asia. We shouldn’t either. |
| Donate to food pantries, volunteer your time. |
this is the truth. |
Most people pay for some or all of their Meals on Wheels. The benighted think so many programs like Medicare are free. They are not |
Medicare is far from free and they will not let you opt out. |
Why should they “leave” anywhere? They have just as much right to be anywhere in public as you do. I will increase my donations to individuals and to food pantries that I support. I am teaching my children to do the same. Using your own words it is clear that places that do not support their own homeless are the reason why they migrate and concentrate in certain areas. If you don’t like it then you should support a large increase in local support so that the imbalances that lead to migration are not exacerbated. |
