Wolf Hall second season

If anyone is watching this--aren't the first two episodes reruns from the original series? I could swear I've seen them before. I've read the trilogy (more than once) and am positive I am not just remembering Henry dressed like a Turk or Wolseys' daughter rebuffing Cromwell.

Those episodes and scenes are new! Her writing is so vivid. I did feel like I had been in those rooms before just from reading. There are a few reused flashback scenes mostly at the beginning on S2E1. Wolsey’s daughter is in Book 3 which came out after the first series was filmed.

I got a PBS subscription on Amazon for this and will cancel when I’m done watching. I’m trying to stretch out the episodes because they are just too good.

I had the same experience. I felt like I’d seen it before, but I realized that it was just that the scenes and dialogue were so close to the book.

They repeated the Ann Boleyn final scenes from series 1 for context I think.

It was actually the discussions between Cromwell and the ghost of Cardinal Wolsey that gave me the real sense of deja vu.
