I doubt it. Stories say that Trump wasn't mad at Waltz about using signal. He was only mad that he was communicating from someone from the Atlantic (aka the liberal media). Breaking laws isn't a problem for Trump. Laws are for the little people.

Let's see what happens in the Special Elections tonight. If it's a bloodbath, maybe Rs will start to turn on Trump. Maybe.

The people around Waltz want him out. I'd say it was someone pretty close to him that made this story happen. They don't like that, with him remaining in place, the blame is diffused among them. Getting rid of him makes it seem like it was more him than them (which it was of course), but it widens the gap
