I am starting at square one. I went into a very bad depression and packed on a lot of weight. I have about 30 pounds to lose by August. I have started to eat a little bit better, but I am looking for a workout routine. I really can't afford a gym membership, but maybe there is an app I can get to help or someone to YouTube with a good workout to follow? |
Congrats and good luck!
I have appreciated Apple Fitness. Not the best user navigation, but I’m really liking it. Of course, for safe execution consider your experience and knowledge base and whether you’d be better off starting with some type of supervision (zoom or in person group/1:1). |
I love Yoga with Kassandra on Youtube. She has tons of classes posted for any level and any length. Supportive, encouraging, excellent classes, free. Highly recommend her! |
do you have a roku or streaming device? Lots of stuff on there. |
Peloton app, there’s specific programs for you to follow too. Good luck! |
I've been doing Caroline Girvan's YouTube programs this year and really liking them. They don't make you lose weight (eating less does) but I definitely feel like I'm gaining strength and my arms and stomach look better. |
I really like Obe |
I’ve been using the peloton strength app. It has a workout generator that tells me what to do. |
Nourish Move Love |
I love the body project. All levels.
The guy is a cutie. |
Another vote for Caroline Girvan. She has an app, but also free stuff on YouTube and it has been amazing. I started with the iron program, which is a six week (30 workouts) strength training program. I really love that the workouts are between 30-49 minutes and that she doesn’t talk incessantly. She’s very into showing you the proper form. She does use very heavy weights so o just use what works for me. I’ve already seen progress and I’m 4 weeks in. |
