I’d appreciate recommendations for outdoorsy vacation spots you’ve enjoyed in the continental U.S. which have warm or at least mild weather in mid June. (Washington and Oregon look cool and rainy in June, for example, so I’m reluctant to consider those areas.) Thanks. |
River Gorge
Yellowstone |
Great lakes
Finger lakes and ADKS New England You might get rain and unseasonably cool temps. You might have beautiful weather. Always a crapshoot. South Dakota might be reliably dry. |
Utah- arches canyonlands NP will be hot but beautiful. |
Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. |
Could combine South Dakota with any of Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Glacier. |
Colorado |
Yosemite or Lake Tahoe
We had glorious weather in Zion and Bryce when we went around Memorial Day (cold at night in Bryce, though!) |
parts of yosemite and lake tahoe will still have snow in first half of june, other parts will have mud from recently melted snow |
rafting in Idaho. Look up Row Adventures. |
Love Glacier but mid-June is pretty dicey. Going to the Sun road more likely than not won’t be open. |
