Taking our teens to LA for spring break and looking for some cool restaurant recs. Staying close to UCLA but have a car so can travel. Thanks! |
Craig’s. There’s almost always a celeb there, paparazzi outside and actually has good food. (Not the best in LA by any means but pretty good!)
plus they can follow Craig’s on instagram and see who gets tagged there. |
Phillipe’s is very old school with sawdust on the floor, an old fashioned candy stand and old phone booths |
Couple of great spots for breakfast/brunch/lunch (reservations needed, these are popular spots).

Sugarfish for sushi Local donut shops, and watch the documentary Donut King |
Hollywood farmers market has a lot of great stalls. |
It depends on what your teens are interested in I suppose. My parents took me to Spago as a teen as I saw it in an American Express commercial featuring some celebrities. Currently I’m into Michael Connelly books and the Bosch series on Amazon so I’d be interested in a list like this: https://www.yelp.com/collection/SGAGHi6DtCMhyv49TGC82g/Harry-Bosch-Restaurants-And-Bars

Our kids loved the Koreatown restaurants. Felt like we traveled far. |
