I am in search of a kind, caring, empathetic primary care/internal medicine doctor who listens and is willing to participate in care by collaborating with specialists (neurologist, rheumatologist). No sarcasm or conveyor belt care.
It appears that this is a rather elusive combination of traits in a physician. Can anyone recommend a doctor that they love and trust and who is not sarcasitc or dismissive for chronic issues? We have CareFirst Blue Cross, but can go out of network, so insurance is not a big factor. I have heard good things about Dr. Alan Pocinki in DC. Does anyone have any experience with him they would be wiling to share with me off list? Thank you in advance! -ruth |
| He is great and a fantastic diagnostician. Had to leave when he stopped taking our insurance. Haven't found anyone close. |

I am out of luck with Dr. Pocinki - I called and he is not accepting new patients, and no waiting list.
Anyone have any ideas for me? |
