Car wash recs please Rockville/G'burg/Silver Spr/Bethesda, doesn't damage car + not too expensive + no autobill monthly

Anonymous
Hope this is helpful for others--looking for car wash recs. I've been about to go to a few places and then read reviews... I don't want hand drying or interior anything or detailing. I don't need wheels washed. Don't have a garage and my leased car gets dusty etc. but not under a tree or anything. I know Mr. Wash in Silver Spring does a good job (I took my husband's tank there once and it was worth it) but it's $20 or autobill monthly. Anything basic in the $10 range?? Do the touchless washes damage paint etc.? Thank you so much.

I think $10 for a car wash that won’t damage your paint is unreasonable. At that price, even if you find a place, you’ll get a gas station gas perk car wash.

I’ve never had any problems with the gas station car wash in Bethesda at Wisconsin and Battery. $9 with a fill up.

some gas station car washes are touches and spray water but aren't very good.

You need to pay for a company to come to your house to avoid damages.

I pay for car washes in cash so they can't sign me up for autobill like the reviews complain about.

I've been taking my car to Flagship in Rockville for 12 years and never had any damage. I get it done every two months. I get the Ultimate wash with Wax. They charge $36. People have ask me if my car is a 2020 or a 2019 because it looks relatively new. Its a 2013.

I would do self-wash bays or touchless automatic.

Where are there touchless washes in close-in DMV?

I’m in Arlington and haven’t been able to find one without going way out to Chantilly which is ~an hour outside of DC.

Thanks for the recommendations. I went to the touchless $9 wash at the Exxon on Wisconsin/Battery Ln Bethesda and it was very good. My car was *coated* with pollen. Didn't get bird stuff off, and I just ordered car glass cleaner to fully clear the glass myself. There's a fine layer of dust left but looks 90% better I'll def go there again.

The Flagship in Rockville looks great too and their self-service is something I'll try. ty!

Get that bird shit off right when it hits. Thats the worst for your paint. Can leave permanent damage.

They closed at the end of March. Part of the revitalization of Georgia Avenue.

I'm sad for me because they always cleaned my cars so well. But I'm really sad for all of the hardworking people who worked there.
