I do not understand who is not walking around with barely contained hatred for these people at this point it is insane

It's the carrot monster now. Cookies are too fattening. |
Cognitive dissonance much? This is how maga navigate the contradiction of their support for Trump and his stupid actions. |
Who can possibly think Cookie Monster and co are a bad thing? It is psycho |
Yes! Only low IQ people did not think Trump would not come for PBS -- it's PUBLIC television, not Crony television. He's motivated by greed. If he can dismantle it and sell it for parts, he will. |
Anything that might give disadvantaged kids a head start in school is a target for DOGE and MAGA. Early learning is only for the kids of the 1%, otherwise it’s just wasteful to educate future retail workers. (I wish this was snark, but it’s really how they think.) |
The tough thing was having MTG head up the committee.
I can't think of a more low intelligence individual to lead this committee to evaluate PBS. |

MTG Threatens PBS for Accurately Describing Elon Musk’s Salute Musk is under fire for doing a Nazi salute at Donald Trump’s inauguration—twice. |
They want to privatize everything under the misguided theory that markets don’t ever fail—of course private industry will produce high quality, affordable, educational content that is accessible to everyone, because… there’s so much profit in it.
It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. |
It’s a show about kindness, so it’s no on par with MAGA/GOP priorities. |
She could really benefit from daily Sesame Street, and subscription to highlights magazine. |
The unintended consequences of this admin are going to be massive and long-ranging, including tolerated terrorism threats to us. They have no idea that we’ve also made $$$ per our soft diplomacy. Per the article:
President Donald Trump also called the the Arabic-language version of Sesame Street part of the “hundreds of billions of dollars of fraud” uncovered by DOGE, although the iteration of the show was historically supported by members of both parties. Andrew S. Natsios, who led the U.S. Agency for International Development under President George W. Bush, even told the NYT the Arabic-language version of the show was the “biggest weapon against Al Qaeda and Islamic extremism.” |
Tolerated = increased (my autocorrect is awful) |
Twenty years ago they came for cookie monster and had him pushing eating fruits and vegetables. |
When Sesame Street began there was very little children's programming available. This was long before videotapes.
I was teaching Title I first graders and remember playing a Sesame Street record to help them learn some things--and the songs were fun. That has changed. Sesame Street can continue and I doubt funding will be cut. But, it needs to go back to its roots--helping kids learn to read and count. Give the social justice a rest and go back to teaching manners and being considerate to everyone. |
