Maybe that’s exactly why she clung to it. Power play. She’s the OG Hattie wife.

What’s Brandon’s grandpa name? I think it should be Big Hat. Boots would be cute for Tina if she wants to stick with the theme. And that would be a power play right back, getting their grandparent monikers from the crowd-sourcing of Hattie’s never ending snark thread. Big Hat and Boots, pleeeease??

It would be even more hilarious if the kid names Tina “Hottie”. 🤣

I just don’t understand the whole “choosing” your grandmother name. I’ve had several friends try this and only 1 stuck. Some of my family’s and friends grandparents’ names include: Gogo, Gaga, Lola, Peeps, Pop, Jack (name is not jack), Mamaw and Meemaw, Tiny, Momo, G, Pa, Grinma, MarMar, Grumps and on and on. All derived by the grandchild. Of course we might have something in mind, but often often changes when a child begins speaking. I’m still perplexed that she is using the last name! I will never understand her.

When did she post about the name?

Lola and Lolly are really popular in my circle. Along with Poppa or Pops

It was a strange detour, to resume some kind of Hatmaker association after all the hurt. And I wonder what Tyler thinks as he conspicuously leaves out her married name. But then again, Tyler probably doesn’t really care about anything she does.

I don’t get what’s wrong with just grandma?

And it’s really how your parents refer to you. If they call you grandma or nana or horsefeathers to their child, that’s what child will call you as well.
