PG Kindergarten/Elementary Autism Program

Considering the elementary autism program in PG county for kindergarten. Does anyone have any experience with this program and the schools that have it? I'm also considering private kindergarten with a shadow (but I don't want my DC to be the only child with ASD in the room). Thanks in advance!

I am a teacher and a parent of a special needs child within PGCPS. I would NOT have my child in a PGCPS autism program. I ask this nicely, how severe is your child’s autism? I would put him in a regular school with an aid over anything else. The more eyes on the child, the better.

OP: Thank you for responding and for the honesty. Child needs significant speech therapy and support communicating. What is the situation with the autism program?
