DCI seat allocation - anyone coming from feeder WL?

Much has been written about the impact of ES school expansion (Mundo, Stokes) and the fact that there may not be enough seats. I think this year was supposed to be the first year of excess demand.
Anyone coming from a feeder get waitlisted at DCI? |

There were enough seats for all 5th graders at MV this year. My child is in 4th grade this year at MV and I am certain that will not be the case next year

DCI's middle school principal noted that they anticipated all feeder school families that wanted to come to DCI would get into DCI for SY 25/26. However, there were not enough spots if ALL feeder school kids wanted to come to DCI.
And yes, some feeder families were wait listed this year, but just for a few hours. DCI needs to manually clear feeder kids off the wait list because the algorithm can't automatically allocate non-feeder spots to feeder kids, who get first dibs on those spots. |
