Why is the 9th grade class so much bigger than 10-12 if 97.9% re-enroll?What don’t I understand about these numbers?

https://schoolreportcard.dc.gov/lea/1/school/402/report#measure-101

Total Student Re-Enrollment

The school moved into a new building that is larger than the old one, and is expanding, so the older classes started out smaller.

OP - the data you posted is from the 23-24 school year. But you can check the numbers and calculations using OSSE's enrollment data (https://osse.dc.gov/enrollment).

For 24-25, Banneker has
9th grade: 188
10th grade: 232 (down 15 students)
11th grade: 155 (down 8 students)
12th grade: 128 (down 8 students)

That's reenrollment of about 96% from last year to this year.
