Please suggest your favorite happy hour snacks from TJ's for bad-ass ladies at the beach

Anonymous
I'm going to the beach with college friends -- ladies only -- this weekend and have been tasked with bringing happy hour snacks. The only thing I have is a box of dark chocolates that my lovely neighbor brought me from Belgium. I'm planning a foraging trip later today or tomorrow to Trader Joe's. What should I get? Bonus points for savory suggestions as I am a sweet tooth gal.

Peanut butter pretzels
Seaweed wasabi flavor
Chomps turkey sausage
Macrona almonds both flavors
Chil pepper cashews
Patio chips
Horseradish chips
Chimchurri sauce
Cheeses and meats
Pita crisp crackers

The TJ marcona almonds always go fast at parties--they come in truffle flavor or rosemary and would be popular with carb conscious ladies.

Most stores have charcuterie packs, some of which should ideally be refrigerated before serving.

They have umpteen boxes of interesting crackers/crostini type things. They have a shelf-stable eggplant dip that people seem to like.

Make sure you forage and that all the ladies are badass

I third? the marcona almonds. Their cheese selection is also excellent - the mini basque are fab.

I spent an hour making complicated little appetizers for a party and what got gobbled up first were those marcona almonds.

Why do you all think you are bad assed ladies? Eating snacks from TJs on the beach is literally so boring.

I think it’s meant literally, like they have bad asses.

And eating snacks from Trader Joe's will make them even worse!

tri-color carrots (I think they have small ones)
snap peas
nice looking tiny tomatoes
fig and olive crisp crackers
garlic naan crackers
cheeses (I like the cottswold but probably a variety)
the little cheese wrapped in salami things
marcona almonds
olives
hummus (I like the tri-color spicy)
the refrigerated spinach and artichoke dip
chocolate covered pretzels (I like the milk)
peanut butter cups (dark or milk)
small chocolate chip cookies in the plastic tub

If warm, I love the feta and onion cups that are frozen. Put a little fig jam on them.

The veggie samosas are also great.

I like the eggplant dip (comes in a jar and is near the pasta sauces and oils), the pita chips, white bean hummus…

Cheesy bites (?) in the yellow bag are irresistible. Peanut butter pretzels are good.
