Can someone please remind about the incest story line in Dexter? All I remember is how incredibly close they are as siblings. Where was the incest?

Nothing ever happened. Deb fell in love with Dexter.

Dexter was her adopted brother. She had fantasies about him, but I thought she got over it. I think Dexter was in love with Deb, too, as evidenced by him removing her body from the hospital and burying her at sea during a hurricane.

It was a major plot line. At first Deb hung on him all the time and was very intimate with him, but then realized it wasn’t just a sibling thing. She was madly in love with him. They never hooked up but had many intimate moments.

Dexter isn't her biological brother. Even so, Deb did fall for Dexter's biological brother (the Ice Truck killer). But she didn't know that it was his brother; nor did she know either of them were killers.

I called her Dumb Deb

Of course that's going by the show only. The books may have a different story line.

I remember Dexter loving Deb but not in "that way"??? Or was I completely asleep at the wheel with this show? What was the evidence other than they were pretty close?

I want to know too! I never thought Dexter thought of her in a romantic way. Did I miss something?

She found out he was a killer and, eventually, accepted it.

Dexter was incapable of romantic love.

In half the time it took you to make this post, you could have googled it.

eh, Dexter was not in love with her. He thought of her as a sister and cared about her as much as he could in that way. She had romantic feelings for him -they were not reciprocated.

At some point Dexter talks about not being really into intimacy at all. His form of intimacy involved one of the two not living threw it. That's why he chose a DV victim as a wife. She didn't really want it and he, the very nice guy that he is, didn't push it.

Deb loved Dex but I don't remember it being inappropriate/creepy.

Yes it was meant to be creepy. She realized she was in love with him
