IKEA PAX for a European-Style Modern Wardrobe? Worth It or Alternatives?

Renovating our bedroom and ditching the walk-in closet for a sleek, built-in European-style wardrobe.

Looking at IKEA’s PAX—has anyone used it? How’s the quality, and any tips to make the doors look high-end?

Architect said Ikea is a good budget solution but GC said they are not good.

I do want the wardrobe to have some bells and whistles like lighting, drawers, space for all clothing hanging types (dresses, coats, etc.), shoe storage, and a laundry basket.

Any recommendations/experiences/regrets? Thanks!

Why on earth would you the walk-in? Nothing is sleeker than a walk-in or a built in. Change the doors if you want a modern look. Pax is great for a rental but it’s bulky and flimsy no matter how you spruce it up.
