Who cares.

Animal experiments need to stop but especially for dogs. I can’t imagine what kind of psycho can even bring themselves to participate in that.

It looked just like our beagle at home. That’s really sad.

I mean, the reality of things like mice studies is you simply wouldn't have any new medicines or medical research, there simply isn't an alternative.

I know someone who is a medical researcher and they quite like their mice and rats, but yes, they do have to euthanize them as part of their research.

This. Would you rather they test on humans? Or halt all new medicine?

Not ok but those concerned should not be eating meat or giving it to their pets.

I am not that poster but I much rather they test on animals than humans. Please go sign yourself and your children up to run these experiments so that you can save and dog.

I'm not going to look, but I'd rather stuff be tested on dogs before it's given to humans.
How is it really that different from us eating cows or pigs?

I'm not inherently opposed to animal testing, but I am opposed to animal cruelty. It's clear that some of these facilities charging $1000 for test dogs aren't providing proper housing, sanitation and care for their animals.

You don't have to be cruel about it.

It's not horrifying that it happens, but how it happens is unnecessarily cruel, especially in some of the examples provided. I understand the necessity of testing on animals to protect human safety. I don't see any justification for inhumane practices beyond the necessary testing. Tiny crates, surgical procedures without anesthesia, poor animal husbandry... all of that is a choice, not a must. If you're going to raise and/or use animals for testing, you should at least meet a basic standard of care and hygiene for them at all times.

They should experiment on rapists and murderers, not innocent dogs.
