We are new to the area and seem to have just missed the application cycle for this coming fall. Our daughter will be going into PK-3 - any recommendations for good schools that might potentially still opens spots for the 2025/2026 school year?
St. Columba’s Nursery School. Check other threads about it. Most magical preschool experience. The absolute best teachers, incredible community, outside-heavy curriculum. Great outplacement for those that choose private.
You may have more luck posting in the preschool forum. Many of the private schools discussed on this board don't start until either PK or K (or later). You could reach out to Concord Hill to see if they have spots.
Concord Hill is age 3-3rd grade. We loved it there.
I've loved the EC teachers at WES. Right down the Capital Crescent Trail. DC entered in K and the older (MS 7th-8th) kids always crowd her because of their buddy programs. Administrators are very responsive and the parents are welcoming and down to earth, especially if entering in PK3.
We have had great experiences with Bethesda Montessori School. One of our kids absolutely loved it there. He's now flourishing in kindergarten at a terrific private school. We'll be sending another child to BMS next. I think they may still have space for next year. I'd encourage you taking a look.
PreK3 at WES!

Lowell has an excellent PrePrimary. Outstanding teachers, warm environment, and thoughtful curriculum.
