We have a wedding in Lake Como this fall and want to make a vacation out of it. Thinking about going to Bologna from there. Has anyone done that or would love some suggestions. Thanks |
There are lots of places a similar distance from Como. Anything specific you want to prioritize? Museums, food, history, etc. |
Nothing specific although history and food would be great! |
Wait. Is this for Alexa? I too have a wedding there in the fall. |
No! Apparently, there are many weddings there this fall! |
Have you been to Italy before?
What specifically about Bologna interests you? |
Go to Venice. It's very romantic.
I have been to Italy 3x and haven't been to Bologna. It's not a Tier 1 tourist city. Why is it on your mind? |
This is op. I have been to Italy before and have never been there. I googled it and it has amazing architecture and food! Thought it was not a touristy place. It just sounds really awesome. Also, relatively close to Lake Como. |
Bologna is known for food. I also really liked Verona. You could also go way North - like 2-3 hour drive and end up in foothills of Dolomites (italian alps) - they are INSANE and hiking is very easy and it's just stunning. |
Nevermind, it's 4.5 hr drive to Brixon/Bressanone. |
Bologna is my personal favorite city in Italy (Parma too). The food, art, people. Bologna is well worth a visit. |
You can a train to Turin to see the shroud |
