Sweaty Kids

Anonymous
My son (2) has sort of always been this way, but I was just curious. He can get SO sweaty when he sleeps! Like there will be a huge sweat circle around his head on the sheet when he awakens. Then, of course, he's cold afterwards. It mostly seems to be when he sleeps. Anyone else?

TIA

Could it be that you have him too well wrapped up/keep the room too warm at night?

Op Here: no actually, he rarely had a blanket on and light PJs.

Yep, my baby sweats in her sleep too. Come to think of it, one of my nephews is a major sweater. With mine, it's to the point that if I wash her hair, I blow dry it before bed, because if I don't, it wouldn't get dry at all before morning. Ick. I hope this passes. I'm ok with diapers and spit up, but not a fan of anyone's sweat. Weird aversion, I know.

Yes. My four year old leaves sweaty head rings on her pillow too.

Yep, my almost three year old sweats profusely from head when he sleeps, particularly if his head is up against a pillow. Dr. said not to worry about it, but I still at every appt!

Yep. 16 mo DD woke up from her nap today looking like she'd stepped out of the shower. She also sweats like crazy in her car seat.

My son (now 20 months) sweats like this too, but what's weird is that it's only at naptime. His sheet has a large wet circle and his hair is all wet. But, when he wakes in the AM, he's not sweaty at all.

My son is 14 months and has always had sweaty head when he sleeps.

Op Here: GReat to know it is seemingly normal! Like I said, it seems to have always been that way, but if he is hotter than usual (like today when he napped), it's so prominent and gross.

my three year old does this too, seems better now actually that he's older.

I read one time that most people loose about a quart of sweat a night. Part of the reason we have a waterproof cover on our mattress.

Not only does my DS (2 1/2) sweat in his sleep, but now he is sweating after going outside. The worst is that I also can smell BO. And, it's not a sweet smell

Anyone else notice this?
