CCRM

Any experiences with Dr Owen at CCRM, good or bad? I have my first appointment scheduled with her in two weeks.

Dr. Owen did one of my egg retrievals and I saw her sometimes for monitoring. My doctor is Dr. Payson but for these procedures/monitoring you just get whoever is on call. I liked her and heard great things about her. I would recommend her.

I would recommend CCRM as a whole. I am AMA, DOR, egg quality/autoimmune issues. Was about to give up before I transferred to CCRM from another clinic, and now currently pregnant about to enter third trimester.

How was your first appointment, OP?

Dr. Owen is great! She’s a great communicator and very empathetic on top of being a great doctor. I really feel like she cares about her patients and we’ve had good results with her treatment plans.

You should join the CCRM Facebook group for more feedback. I tend to see sort of mixed feedback on Owen. I had her as my primary doctor at CCRM and really liked her. Some people complain that she is not empathetic, but I would say she is just a bit blunt and calls it like it is. She doesn't sugar coat things, but she is still kind and I think she cares about her patients. She is very busy and sometimes seems a bit overwhelmed, but I think CCRM has just gotten busy overall. I personally liked her better than Payson (who I found to be totally fine, but a little vanilla and less invested -- though he wasn't my main doctor), and don't have much experience with the other doctors at CCRM, but I think they are all very good. I will say, I ultimately did not have success at CCRM after four transfers, but I think I was an unusual case. I think they are the best local clinic and I ultimately sought treatment outside of this area to get to success.
