I’ve read that with the Seasonal/School year is now September 1 - August 31 from the Birth Year of January 1 - December 31.
But I’m confused about how the age brackets will be since it doesn’t include the year or age group. For instance, if a player is currently U17 and has an October 2008 birthdate how does this work? Is it September 1,2008 - August 31, 2007 or September 1, 2008 - August 31, 2009? Please answer or provide a link. Thanks. |
| Time matches on..not backwards. |
This is not helpful at all. |
| Then think of it like a puzzle. |
| not starting until two years from now |
Is your DD or DS a junior or senior this fall? If they are a senior this fall, the switch means nothing for you, as they will be in college when this goes into affect in Fall of 2026. If they are 2008, but a Junior, then they could have to play in this switch - which again, doesn't go into affect until Fall of 2026 (so 26-27 season). Currently, there is a U17 and a U19 bracket (they eliminated U18 last year). The question will remain if they bring back the U18 bracket in Fall of 26 for with this switch. |
| Sept or later starting in 26-27 season will repeat for a U18 that is probably playing U19 it may not make any difference. For example my oct. 2015 will be a U11 next year. The following year they will be a U11 again. |
| Your player would be eligible to play with those born September 1, 2008 - August 31, 2009. That would be the current U16 team. |

A September kid will now be the oldest kid on the team. An August 31st kid is now the youngest
In Birth year, Jan 1 was oldest, Dec 31st was youngest. I am guessing teams will go back to “U” designation, meaning that everyone is at or under the age listed by Sept 1. So if your kid turns 9 on sept 1, they will be on a U9 team, and their teammates will be 9 or under until August 31st. |
I think you answered your own question. October 2008 is only in one of these ranges. (The second one) |
