Seems like hotels are all insanely priced! what is your favorite US hotel you’ve stayed for under $500 a night?

This is funny because I've never stayed at a hotel that cost more than $150-200

Was about to say... have never stayed at a hotel that's more than $300.

Way back when, the Best Western in San Francisco used to have literary themed rooms, complete with old typewriters. I stayed in the Oscar Wilde room. It was really fun!

Have you stayed in a hotel in a whole? A roadside Homewood Suites in Lubbock, TX is $200 a night.

Some hotel in Miami that was a block off Brickell Avenue. I could see the ocean from my balcony.

We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando in January, the advertised rate was $499. It was really nice

See I don't think there's a big diff between 350-500$ places. I'd choose the $600+ or the $200 but it's the in betweens, depending on the place that may be similar.

It's harder and harder though to find the decent $300-400s as most increase to 500 or the cheap stay $200.

We used to book at the $1000-1300/night Caribbean paces for the family but now they are all nuts into $2300+! Ugh.

I find the true $500s places to now be in the $800s

For Disneyland, we had a very nice stay at the Westin Anaheim. Attentive staff, clean and spacious rooms, nice pool etc.

I had a couple of nice stays at places in various northeastern cities 5-6 years ago, but, sadly, when I look at current reviews for those same hotels, they are no longer glowing. Is the hospitality industry still paying for Covid, or are employees jumping from the hospitality industry for higher paying work?

I spent >$400 a night for a room near old faithful. The room was very nice, but not luxury. The location was AMAZING, and I would 100% stay there again. (I usually spend much less than that on hotels)

I love the Palmer House in Chicago. It's well under that.
