Title pretty much says it all but for complex reasons to do with many specifics, those are the two options. I've never been to either. St Anton i know has an amazing terrain and i think is a pretty town (?) but meant to be cloudier and rainer. Avoriaz is purpose built but close to Morzine which is pretty and meant to be sunnier. Need lots of blues. Anyone been to either? Help appreciated! |
Morzine! |
Did you love it? Why? And have you been to st Anton? |
Last person I knew that skied in Morzine had to be airlifted to a hospital and could not be moved into their home for 3 months. |
That could happen anywhere, probably not a Morzine-specific concern |
When I lived in France Avoriaz was my favorite place to ski because it had lots of blues. It will likely be cheaper as well. |
Isn't Morzine relatively low altitude? I have a friend who goes the and the snow can be unreliable. Avoriaz is higher. I'd probably do St Anton.
But if it's last minute you can check weather and conditions and make a call based on that. |
