Gray now plans to hold town hall meetings in the 8 wards to decide how to be mayor

This guy isn't the CEO type. He is a legislative politician. He can't make up his own mind on what to do. Things are going to sloooowww down to a crawl. Thank you DC voters.

Are you kidding? This is a GREAT idea given the racial breakdown of the vote. Please give the guy a chance. It's our city. Don't turn your back to it.

Not to mention the fact that he's 100 yrs old. Let's hope he surrounds himself with people who are forward thinking and action-oriented. I hope he keeps Cathy Lanier as police chief. I understand in a predominately Black city that some people want leaders that look like them but I hope that Gray doesn't change the 'color' just because the people in Wards 5, 7 & 8 will call him "out of touch".

Good leaders know how to take the temperature of the people they're responsible for. I see nothing amiss about the new mayor spending time before his inauguration meeting with his constituents. In fact, many people would consider it a very good idea.

You've got one hell of a chip on your shoulder, best be careful that you don't let it disfigure you.

67 is the new 100?

Seriously, he's ten years younger than Senator Fat Head Ted Kennedy was until he died and no one suggested he was too old for the Senate.

I bet he knows enough to commission a poll during his campaign for mayor!

It's too late. Already one shoulder is way out of proportion to the other and it seems there are many other voters with this same problem. Shoulder pads, anyone?

Was this jab necessary because he did die from a brain tumor. With the exception of Marc Anthony, it is a time-honored tradition that we do not speak ill of the dead. Afterall, they can no longer defend themselves.

Two of the things I liked about Fenty were his youth and energy.

Oh no, it had nothing to do with his brain tumor. Had you ever seen the man in person? His head was gigantic! Whether or not that's to be expected of someone so arrogant that he believed he should get away with murder is something else.

Besides which, who cares? He's a Kennedy so OF COURSE he got away with murder.
