Left work early today to ride the Red Line home and the Metro was empty. It's usually teeming with feds from 3:30 through the end of rush hour.
Is there a new policy in place that the feds are not allowed to leave early anymore? Would love to know when I should ride the metro to avoid the heaviest ride times. |

Why is anyone allowed to leave early? The only reason you should be on a train going home at 3:30 is if you clocked on at 6. You did your 8, plus your unpaid hour for lunch, and left at 3. And I seriously doubt most govt offices are open and running at 6 am.

| According to my DH, the metro was more crowded this morning then it has been since pre-covid. He takes the red line. |
Stop being nosey. |
| The Green Line was crowded this afternoon before 5. |
| Go away OP and myob. |
| My Red line train was packed at 5:15 p.m. |
| You're an idiot, that's why. |
Hahahaha of course they are. Virtually all of them. |
| 3:30 pm is a dangerous time to be at some metro stops due to teens fighting and robbing people after school. A lot of people try to leave earlier than that. |
| Such a dumb question. You could have gotten there at a time when the trains were bunched together (which happens often). So maybe one or two trains left just within the past few minutes. |
Lunch is 30 minutes, not an hour. Probably a good 20% of my office is in by 6-6:30 am. |
The red line was awful this morning. I thought (hoped) it was because I was running a few minutes late. |
So was mine at 4:45. |
They all got shit-canned |
