I recently read that something like 10% of UK people listed their religion as Jedi on the census forms. I am fuzzy about that theology, but guess it means one believes in the existence of good and evil.
How many Americans are Jedi believers? |
That’s cool if true - |
This is not the forum you’re looking for. |
That’s not true. That’s impossible. |
I was until the prequels. They were worse than Vatican II ! |
It could be that the poster above is trying to steer you away from the religion forum, but your comment and question about the Jedi seem appropriate to this forum. In answer to your question, I don't know enough about Jedi, but I think not. As for people in Britain naming it as their religion, I think it's a joke. I think they're saying that they don't have a religion, which is the case with many people in Britain. |
Sorry to disappoint you all, but Jediism is a real religion, with a granted IRS tax exemption, and just as valid as any othehr religion, including yours. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jediism |

This is a perfect example of how an idea grows into a religious movement. What initially started as a joke, has now been recognized as a real organization.
Funny that people can see how its roots are based on a made up set of fictional stories, but they can't see that for christianity or other religions. |
Are you having a hard time hearing what's going on around with with that big whooshing sound going over your head? |
You can't win, but there are alternatives to fighting. (Let's see if we can keep this going.) 😉 |
