Which celebrities do you think are sensible, grounded parents? Which ones have good relationships with their kids, or have adult children who are by all accounts well-adjusted?

I think all the recent presidents with school age children have done pretty well with allowing the kids to grow up in a semi-normal way.

My GF lives in Austin and her kids went to school with theirs. She said the family is very close and happy, the parents down to earth and were really engaged in the school community, and the kids were very nice and well mannered.

The kids are the ones who are celebrities, but Dakota and Elle Fanning's parents produced two children who were child actors and now adult actors. Dakota has a BA, neither of them are ever in any fights or drama with people, they just do their work and get on with it.

I think Kate Winslet is probably a great mom, and Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy are great dads

PP. You're right. I assume the First Ladies may take care of a lot of it and should have given them more explicit credit.

I think of the President/First Lady combo as a two working spouse household because the First Ladies end up doing a lot of what definitely would be compensatable work if done for a job. I think from Chelsea to Barron, things have been pretty ok for the kids living in the White House.

I think Vance needs to stop taking his kids out in public. Things are too heated now and frankly I think he deserves to be confronted with dissent. But his kid in stroller does not. He seems to be showing some naivete about his changed world, trying to take his family to that tiny inn in Vermont because he went there as a law student.

Nice balance OP. Parenting is really hard even out of the spotlight. Hats off to people living in the public eye who raise healthy normal independent human beings.
