Have a huge age gap obviously. But wanted to go somewhere in late August or early June when I don’t have camp coverage anyway.
Obviously can’t do a long flight. Suggestions? |
Beaches Negril. Seriously. The child care is great and resort is fine (I wouldn’t choose to go there without the childcare factor but it’s great for what it is) |
Yep do a pool/beach option with some childcare options. |
I think that’s actually a great age for a long flight because the baby is still free. With kids about that age, we did Rome/Venice/Florence.
National parks are another good option, or just pick a US city you’d like to explore. |
I highly recommend the 30a area. It's like the Hamptons of the south

My kids (now grown) are 5.5 years apart. We just went on whatever trips made sense for the older kid and the baby/toddler/preschooler came along. Wear the baby in a sling or carrier as much/long as you possibly can, get a good, easily portable stroller, and when necessary, divide and conquer with your spouse. When you go to a museum, e.g., one parent goes thru the exhibits with the older kid, the other parent follows the toddler as they toddle thru the main hall. I never found this age gap to be much of a problem. |
If the Hamptons was full of rednecks. |
