I am a healthy weight, and exercise regularly (cardio and weight lifting), but it’s been winter, and I always feel frumpy at this time of the year. I just want to be outside and moving in the sun.
I have a major work event in two weeks as a keynote speaker and need to find an outfit but also feel my best. What should I do in terms of diet and exercise? I know it’s only two weeks away, but any helpful short term advice is appreciated. |
You are already exercising, you should get a great outfit and work on making your speech as engaging as can be. |
Get a spray tan or some sunshine. That’s all |
Freshen up cut and color.
Do you know your best colors? |
OP here. Thank you for your advice, and the advice above. I touched up my hair yesterday, and I am shopping this weekend for an outfit. I look my best in “summer colors”. I am working on a meaningful and engaging presentation. |
You won’t make a huge physical change in two weeks, but eating a clean diet focused on Whole Foods and drinking lots of water might help with bloating and improve the appearance of your skin and give you more confidence. Find clothes that are stylish, comfortable and fit you well, and as PPs said, focus on the substance of your speech. |
Drink lots of water, eat healthy Whole Foods, and otherwise don’t sweat it. Get good makeup and hair and pick an outfit that is comfortable. That’s all. |
Take a laxative the day before. You will drop 1.5- 2lbs. of water weight and won't look puffy/bloated. |
^^ Ha! Or, it will kick in while she is at the podium! |
+1. Spray tans are underrated. Go to a place that has the Norvell spray tan booth. It's like forty bucks. Get the clear medium color. You'll instantly look healthier, prettier, slimmer. Well actually not instantly. The clear develops over a few hours. Get it done two days before your presentation. And if you really want to look good, get your make up professionally done the day-of. If you can't find an MUA, just go to Sephora. They're always pretty good. Sixty bucks. |
For the next two weeks, drink 3 glasses of green juice every day - a glass with each meal. You will easily lose several inches from your belly area like magic.
Spinach, carrots, beets, orange, ginger, celery, cucumber, kale, arugula, winter melon, cilantro, lemon. You can refrigerate for a couple of days. Use a cold press juicer. |
OP, please don’t do this. |
She asked for a short-term fix. Taking a laxative one time will not harm her. |
