| Did anyone get a call or message from a union of transportation workers/wmata asking members (and possibly others) to call your senators to advocate funding for wmata? Didn't that white house tenant want everyone to return to office? What is he handing out Teslas or something for workers to commute? How the fck are people supposed to commute into DC or around DMV and return home if they have plans to cut wmata? Is Purple line affected? Someone explain |
| Stop answering random spam telephone calls and you'll have nothing to worry about. |
How do you know anyone answered any random spam calls? It could have been a message to anyone who was a member of that union. They don't check if the member has an updated number and will use a number they have on account. But there are massive cuts happening pretty much everywhere. |
The cruelty is the point. You'd have to be a real moron to think that anything Trump or Musk is doing is actually to save money or increase efficiency. The real purpose is to make life miserable for federal workers and residents of the liberal stronghold that is the DMV. They're hoping that waking up early and spending an hour or more on a crowded, underfunded public transit system to get to your overcrowded office to do work that you could do just as well from home is demoralizing enough to get you to quit so that they can either fill your job with a Trump loyalist or shut down your entire department if you're doing something that might stand in the way of their profits (EPA, NLRB, CFPB) or investigate their crimes.
