Has anyone taken a ferry between Morocco and Spain? Would you recommend? Which connections?
I'll be traveling with a relative this summer in Spain who wants to do it to check another continent off the bucket list. They're retirement age and don't know if they'll have a chance again, so I'm open to the idea, but it does sound hot and potentially a lot of effort just to check a box. |
I took one many years ago between Algeciras and Tangier. Can’t remember the name of the company but it was fun! |
Yes. Morocco is wonderful. You can easily spend a night or two in Tangier. |
Any recommendations where? |
We did it from Grenada which was the UK on the tip of Spain |
Sorry i meant Gibralter |
Yes, I have taken it - from Gibraltar. It is just two hours ish on a boat across open water. It was a grey day and so we were all inside and mostly I saw water splashing up on the windows. Might have better views on a sunny day. |
We did the one that landed in Ceuta. I don't remember if we left from Spain or Gilbraltar.
We stayed about 48 hours in Morocco and then headed back. |
Yes...I did this a long time ago, but it was pretty easy. I took the ferry from Tangier to Gibraltar. I don't remember the ferry, but we didn't buy tickets ahead of time. Also, it wasn't hot, b/c you're on the water. |
