DD has allergies (nickle and copper, which is apparently in most jewelry, including sterling silver), so she is going to try gold. She wants some small hoops (2 holes in each ear, so maybe small and medium hoops). Any suggestions on where to buy online, and get the real gold, not gold plated?

| Most gold jewelry is alloyed with copper. I am not aware of any 24kt earrings. The highest you are likely to find is 18kt. |

| Banter (formerly Piercing Pagoda). They are also in the malls. |
| Costco |
| From Indian jewelry shops in Virginia. |
| White gold? |

Try surgical steel earrings. For every day use, I use the type of studs they use in piercing guns - you can find them online or at beauty supply stores.
There is also a company called Simply Whispers that sells non allergenic jewelry. Pure gold is too soft so they usually alloy it with some other metal which can cause problems. |

| You can buy gorgeous 24k gold jewelry in Hong Kong, but I doubt that’s what your daughter is looking for. Go to a reputable jeweler and you should be able to get something suitable. |
+1 That will be 22k so very little added to it. |
Can you name a nice one? |
| I buy gold (14k or 18k) from Etsy, but for my sensitive ears, titanium posts work really well, as does surgical steel as PP recommended. |
| Quest jewelers in Fairfax (near Mosaic District) is Indian-owned. You can find beautiful gold there. |
