Any update on 20015 boundary situation?

I remember a while ago people saying they would make CCDC kids go to middle and high school across the park. Any update on this?

No update and seems unlikely now that MacArthur is open.

MacArthur opening will alleviate some of the pressure on JR, but we're approaching a point where it will be impossible to stuff more kids into Deal (though, knowing DCPS, they certainly will try to stuff as many kids as they can get away with into the school). And with the economy tanking and private/selective schools becoming more harder and harder to get into, more and more families probably will be turning to Deal in coming years. But DCPS will just kick the can down the road like it always does until the problem becomes overwhelming.

Good - I want my EOTP families coming to our local schools, not going to Ward 3.

Taking Bancroft out of Deal would help a little and make programmatic sense. Make oyster pk-5 and send it and Bancroft to MacFarland and Roosevelt. Bonus is that there would be more bilingual elementary slots, which are in high demand.

Wells and Coolidge are pretty full so while I think it could have made sense to send Lafayette kids there had dcps made better decisions in the past, it would be hard to implement now. More likely to see dcps trying to fill up McArthur.
