Albert Einstein Hi: URGENT: Good morning, families. This message is to inform you that at 10:10 this morning we moved into a shelter in place due to emergency in the community. Once the shelter is lifted we will update you.

The follow-up letter said there was an incident near the school that was thought to potentially involve a weapon. When it was determined no weapon was involved, the SIP was lifted.

Not “kept silent,” just a nothingburger as far as the school was concerned.

Nothing from any local news, either. Only the anonymous PP (without sources or details) mentioned a robbery or a juvenile.

It sounds like the system worked fine. If someone gets mugged near a school and wasn’t sure if the person had a gun or something, I think they have to lock down nearby schools.
