Where to publish press releases for notable achievements, like a local student/team/club winning a regional (or greater) award?

Is there an MCPS place to submit?

Local news sites?

What are the costs of these options?

I think OP is living in the 1970s. Local news publications died off a long time ago an md nobody is publishing “news” about student prizes or awards.

Your child must be in elementary or MS. I think all HSs are supposed to have a weekly principal or community newsletter. It lists any changes to the schedule and other announcements.

I would share with the school principal, I'm sure if they deem it 'newsworthy' they would pass it on to the MCPS Office of Communications to share more widely https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/communications/
