| What is up? I’ve been on the bus for an hour and have gone about 10 blocks. |
| Weird, I was in Gtown and had NONE! |
It must be because the entire city is on 14th Street. |
| Traffic in N Arlington was bizarre. I saw 3 near accidents caused by different vehicles darting across lanes to turn, etc. |
| There are protests causing traffic. |
| I was trying to take Constitution to 66 West and they blocked it off at 14th (I couldn’t see why) and redirected everyone to go left on 14th. |
| I don't know, but I was late to work for the first time ever this morning. Horrific traffic coming into DC on Canal/Whitehurst. |
| Too many people started driving during covid. People need to go back to riding metro. (Side note -- this is why metro needs to be properly funded. The roads can't handle more cars.) |
|
So the issue was Dump did an outdoor event at the white house which caused an increased law enforcement presence. The dickhead did an literal Tesla car show during the middle of DC rush hour (that he caused by making everyone come back to worlk) on the first 70 degree day of the year.

OP here. I kept telling myself not to assume the oligarchy was destroying traffic after making me come in. But it turns out it was. Screw the plebs on the bus. |
| I don't think the White House event was the reason for the traffic -- it was at the White House, back by the Rose Garden, and it was over before 5 p.m. |
| It’s return to work downtown…way more people coming in and they all seem to be driving |
| What has surprised me is how much traffic there is at 6:00 am and 3:00 pm. I thought I would be beating the rush by have an earlier tour, and apparently a ton of other RTO feds have had the same idea. |
Metro needs to run more cars at rush hour if it wants to fit more people one them- head times of five minutes are ridiculous! More people won’t physically fit! |
Shocking. Just shocking! |
