IB Bio or AP Bio

Kid has choice to take one of the two. Which one has a better curriculum? Which one is harder? Did your kid need a tutor for the course? Which of the two tests harder - AP or IB? Any other input about either class?

IB Bio HL if your kid is interested in medicine/health fields. IB curriculum infuses Anatomy and Physiology concepts that AP does not

Do kids typically perform well in IB Bio HL? Do they get As mostly (over 8 quarters) as it seems to be the case in AP Bio? Or maybe the students we know who took AP Bio are "good" students who would get an A regardless AP or IB.

IB Bio HL = 2 years
AP Bio = 1 year (4 quarters) double period

Didnt they get a new text for IB Bio starting this year?

New text and test. curriculum is just rearranged between SL and HL and the parts of the options are integrated into the curriculum, rather than a choice by the teacher of what to teach

Are there teachers who only teach AP Bio and other teachers who only teach IB Bio?
