HHS: where do you find your estimated severance?

Anonymous
Not asking about the calculator page.
It’s not in a box on the SF-50.
Where is this number listed for each employee that they can see?

Use the GRB Platform

do you have access to employee express? you want the employee benefits statement.

https://www.employeeexpress.gov/FEBS

or https://www.nfc.usda.gov/EPPS/index.aspx?ReturnUrl=/epps/

GRB platform has a link you can click but it calculates off of your leave SCD instead of your retirement SCD so could be incorrect.

I found mine in GRB. But keep in mind - while it shows a severance figure for me - I don't think I'm qualified to receive it as MRA plus 10. It's sad because it's almost a year of severance...

What do you mean by this? Is this specific to HHS?

What? Are you talking about FERS annuity or something? I’m just talking about regular severance. I though people with more than one year were entitled to severance.

This is federal wide. Apparently if you are eligible for an immediate annuity which you are at MRA plus 10 then you aren’t eligible for severance. My annuity will be crap so this really sucks.

Agree. I would never even know this but we’ve never been threatened with RIF before. So frustrated. And as a single parent it’s pretty scary.

But you keep your health insurance!!! This is a huge factor. You keep your health insurance for LIFE if you take a discontinued service retirement.
