Will be in Rome for two nights this summer with my two teenagers. I know nothing about Rome. Anyone have some hotel suggestions for us? |

Hotel Smeraldo. Great hotel with a great free breakfast. |
This Airbnb we stayed at a year ago was really convenient. Spacious, great host, walking distance to the subway.

We have a family of 4 (boys ages 17 and 15) and rented an apartment in Campo dei Fiori section of Rome last summer. It was a perfect location - we could walk almost everywhere and it was convenient to restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. My boys actually preferred having an apartment with a refrigerator, stove. We booked through booking.com. Regardless of whether you choose a hotel or apartment, I would choose the location(s) you might want to stay in first and then find a place. I watched several YouTube videos from Rozier Roma and followed his advise on locations to stay. He recommends several places but they were booked during the time we wanted to visit. Good luck. It is a wonderful vacation!

We stayed at Hotel Nazionale last fall and it was great - very easy location, walking distance to pantheon and plenty of cafe and shops. Very quiet and pretty. Good bar. |
We liked Hotel Capo d'Africa near the Colosseum, although I wish we had stayed closer to Piazza Navona. |
Air BNB but book something now because it is a Jubilee year. Also book any tours etc now, it is a madhouse. |
