Lived in Damascus since 2004 and I’ve went to Golden Corral in Frederick about four-five times a year, however I was very sad to see that restaurant close down. Are there any good options that are in MoCo (specifically around Germantown or Clarksburg)?

Go to Fogo de Chao on Pike and Rose.
Brazilian steak all house is really good.
Lunch time is cheaper.

Oh no! I grew up in Damascus and LOVED that GC! Its a small hike but, there is one in Manassas. You could make a day of battlefields, Uvard Hazy, and golden rolls & butter.

Most of the buffets are Chinese/Asian/sushi in MoCo, so I think you’re probably out of luck unless you want to try it

Have you checked around the MD/PA border? There might be something around there, and not much further than Frederick MD. If you venture into PA the Amish restaurants serve generous family-style meals. Cracker Barrel is not buffet but it's mostly the same type of foods.

A lot of buffets disappeared during the pandemic and never came back.

After COVD and now the worst flu in years, buffet isn't so advisable. I got weirded out when I saw a person drooling into the salad bar.

Was going to say this. Similar foods. Was popular in midwest. Are there still locations around DC?
