College Gardens Elementary school K question.

Anonymous
I will be moving from TX to MC and chances are our DS will be attending the College Gardens K next year. Can someone kindly list the books that are used in K this year so I could see how they compare to what is required in TX? I hear that MC has much higher academics req. at K level. It scares me.
Please advise what books are required at College Gardens and where could I obtain them? Can I purchase them somwhere online or only at school?

I would be in contact with the school for more info. The math is Everyday Math. There is no book. You can probably find info on the web. Reading is done from books depending on the level of the child. There is no actual text book for that either. CGES is a diverse school and kindergarteners come in with all different skill levels so I think you'll find there is something appropriate for all..

There actually is an Everyday Mathamatics textbook (though the kids are not issued a copy of it in school), and you can buy it on Amazon.com. I purchased it on my own and my DS uses it for a reference.
