How much turnover on GA/ECNL Teams?

For girls specifically, how much turnover specifically on Girls top teams for ECNL/GA?
I would assume it is 3-4 new girls for U13, 2-3 for U14 + 15 and then slightly higher for U16+?

That sounds reasonable for the averages but it could vary quite a lot team by team. I have seen teams with zero turnover, and have seen as many as 6 in one year.

Not typical, but my DD's tam has been pretty stable. We're not in the DMV though...ECNL team.

U13 - 1st Year, ECNL.
U14 - Added 1, Dropped 0.
U15 - Added 2, Dropped 2
U16 - Added 1, Dropped 0
U17 - This year. No change.

Roster has never been above 18.

But, we have seen teams in the same club with pretty big swings of 4 or more players each year.

Curious if this is a winning team?

This is really dependent on local options. In our area (not DC) we have 3 ECNL team within an hour of each other. Plus 2 GA teams. With options, people are far more likely to move if their club/coach/team isn’t a good fit.

Maybe that's one of the reasons teams in this area can't win anything at the national level? Not enough players on each team. Yes some will play every game, but depending on the team, some players may be better suited to play against a specific style.

Roster size really hasn't been an issue - There are development players that have been called up to fill in if there is an extended absence as well. Carries (2) keepers. Team also has had what I would consider a decent amount of success. Qualified for the national playoffs each year and in 2 of 3 years advanced to the final 8, making it to the final 4 one year. Going again this year.

What has been good is the fact that the girls haven't had the constant turnover and have developed relationship on and off the field. My DD has played with some of these girls now going back to ADP programs, so we're talking about 7, 8 years.

But, I think maybe the exception rather than the rule.

Our ENCL-RL team - because of course some kids want to move up and if they don't they leave - sees 50% turnover or more a year.

This obviously is ruinous for chemistry between the kids. Mid-table results.

We are on a GA2 team and there is a decent amount of turnover. A 2nd team is a tough spot to be due to high turnover.

ECNL-RL and GA2 a lot of folks dont actually end up moving up but just end up on another RL or GA2 team. I hope that grass is greener for them.
