where to go - 4 day spring break with teens?

Anonymous
Open to anywhere - I'd like to go somewhere with best bang for the buck in terms of activities teens might like to do. Mohonk mountain house? Poolside in FL? Not sure I've planned far ahead enough for Costa Rica. We've recently done PR or else I would consider San Juan (great direct flights). Anyone have a good experience somewhere?

London.

Ahh we have “done” London recently… and Paris

I'd search where your preferred airline flies nonstop during spring break and decide from there.

Do you want a resort? If not I’d do Chicago

My teens loved the hiking at Mohonk, but I'd be concerned it may be too cold. What about Crystal River to see manatees and do some pool time?

We love a quick FL getaway that time of year. You can usually find cheap flights into FLL. It’ll be hot there.

Seems kind of late to be planning this.

An all inclusive in the Dominican Republic. Direct flights and a great bang for the buck. Not to mention that you don't have to worry about paying for every single meal with teens and that can really add up.
We went last year (with teens) and had a great time.

WE like Hollywood Beach Florida.

Not Mexico! They just found 9 students who had been tortured and chopped up on the side of the road (and not your typical narco-gang dispute).

And there's school shootings and mall shootings in every state of the USA. Are we going to stop living in the USA? Mexico City and Cancun are both easy trips from the DC area (4 hours) and have lots of fun stuff teens would like (Xcaret/pyramids/beaches in Cancun, where you can get a hotel 15 minutes from the airport since you're short of time). Mexico City is more museums/shopping/pyramids (Teotihuacan not too far) and big city fun. Plus some beautiful places in the countryside about 1 or 2 hours from the city depending on where you stay.
