Thinking ocean city or Virginia Beach with an indoor or heated pool plus fun kid activities or nearby.
Need a two room suite Kids aged 2-8 Any recommendations? Prefer less than $600 night Don’t want to drive more than a couple hours. |
I wouldn’t go to a beach that far north for spring break. Just go to Williamsburg. Great Wolf Lodge ticks your indoor pool and kids activities needs, and then you have Colonial Williamsburg and touristy stuff nearby. |
I agree with the pp about going to Williamsburg. If you’d prefer the beach, the Embassy Suites meets your criteria. There are plenty of museums and kid friendly activities in the Va Beach area (aquarium, children’s museum, Nauticus, zoo) if the weather is not great

Appreciate the feedback we’ve done GWL perryville a few times and I was hoping for a more outdoorsy feel. What about Kings mill ? |
You can always do day passes to GWL if the weather doesn’t cooperate. I can’t speak for Kingsmill specifically, but take careful note on activities and amenities offered before Memorial Day. Sometimes they’ll beef up their resort activities for popular spring break weeks, but that isn’t always a guarantee. |
Go to kingsmill in Williamsburg. Visit Yorktown, Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens or Great Wolf. |
Go north to Wildwood - so much nicer than south to VA Beach, honestly ![]() |
Nope |
I would not describe Wildwood as “so much nicer” it reminds me of Atlantic City without the casinos. |
Stone Harbor or Avalon. Take the ferry from Lewes for fun. |
The Homestead. All ages love the spring fed heated outdoor pool. Lots of activities. |
Neither wildwood nor va beach are nice. At least va beach has a chance of being warmer. |
