I’m an SSA employee and I can’t even decipher most of this. It’s like he is trying to be prophetic or something. I’m so curious whether this bootlicker DOGE sycophant has a long enough leash to type this up himself or if this is Musk’s rambling with Dudek’s name on it.

But the main things I took away were that he’s blaming Biden, some big shit is going to go down, and they’re going to prioritize customer-facing roles. I’m guessing a lot of stuff that isn’t customer facing will be outsourced and this will just be the start of privatizing the whole thing. RIP Social Security.

I suspect Musk wrote this. We already know he wrote FORK in the road. This subject is "Our road ahead" and mentions "we stand at a crossroads". Some strange theme.

It sounds like they'll be firing basically anybody who doesn't answer phones and are outsourcing/automating everything else.

IME a lot of SSA workers in regional offices are republican and are dismissive of not only the people they serve but the “useless people” at SSA headquarters who are not public facing. So I wonder if there will be as much internal backlash as in other agencies.

I dont work there but I read it as firing a lot of people and perhaps offering reassignment to field offices with public facing roles to others and fired if they do not accept. I read this as a major reorganization is coming as well that will primarily affect HQ.

It’s meant to demoralize the workforce and make us quit. Our mission has always been working for our claimants. Our work helps people and gets them money and medical care they desperately need. We show up and give it 110% because we see the lives we change and people help. Translation: AI will do the interacting with and helping humans part.

This is the 4th such unhinged email in 6 days. You keep saying it’s too hard to fire Feds. This was written by our new acting Commissioner (managing a workforce of approx 60k)— a nonsupervisory GS-15 who was on Admin Leave and likely to be fired for leaking information to DOGE when Elon decided he was just the person to destroy SSA. Yep. All 60k of us are his first managment assignment. Gotta say. He’s doing a heckuva job. /s

The other agencies thing is weird to. What are we doing that BLS or IRS should be doing? Reporting out our data? Which has to be us because we have it? I mean… no one here is doing tax enforcement? Because I know he’s not going after the stepped up overpayment regs. MAGA loves getting that “fraudulent” money back. So???

People can live with that degree of stress and anxiety about their jobs for so long. Eventually you resign yourself to being laid off or at the very least develop a whatever happens, happens attitude and folks begin to be checked out. I know Vought and DOGE want people scared but as shown on this board it seems to have flipped from fear of job loss to please just RIF me or let me take a VERA with 22 years of service for many.
