It’s Acura’s all electric SUV. They are only doing one model year trying to clear their lots with some good deals. Why are the discontinuing this model already?
Anyone have ‘this car? Thoughts? |

The ZDX, like the Honda Prologue, is built on the Chevy Blazer platform. Honda is coming out with its own EV platform and I assume there will be Acura variations of that. The Prologue has been one of the best selling EVs, even outselling the Chevy models on which it is based. Unlike the Chevy models, the ZDX and Prologue get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which are must haves for some owners.
I looked at a ZDX at the Washington Auto Show and it looked like a nice vehicle. However, I thought the touchscreen displays on the Chevy's were much nicer. The ZDX seemed clunky in comparison. Even though the ZDX is based on a GM platform and GMs have access to Tesla's Superchargers, the ZDX does not. That might change in the future. Because the ZDX is probably going to be an orphan — and you might even end having to get it serviced by Chevy dealers — it would probably be better to lease rather than buy. However, with all the caveats, it is probably a nice car and at the right price would be a good choice. |
