Bethesda restaurant large family dinner

Anonymous
Hi, I need to book a restaurant for a large-ish family dinner celebration. The event is in Bethesda, so a restaurant there or close-by Potomac or Rockville is preferred. I think we will be between 8 and 14...still working out exactly who is joining.
Any suggestions? The honoree has requested Italian or general American or steak/meat type places.

Aventino is the best Italian in Bethesda.

Where’s the closest Maggianno’s? Friendship Heights?

Clydes. Gregorios. Stanford Grill.

That's like saying you're the best hockey player in Ecuador.

Thanks for suggestion. Do any of these have like a private room or a table tucked away? So many restaurants are so loud and crowded.

Warning - this place is LOUD! I wouldn't recommend it if you want to have conversations!

Pizzeria Da Marco would be a good choice for something like this.

Caruso’s is great and isn’t loud.

Seasons 52 has private rooms and a tucked away area called chef’s table (seats 12). the larger rooms can go up to around 20-30 people.

I would do Hunter's Inn in Potomac. Their food is really good now, not Aventino but on par with Woodmont Grill, and better than Clydes, Gregorio's, Maggiano's or Stanford. They have two private rooms, one for 8-10 people and the other can handle tables of 12. They do not charge for a private space. It's quiet and the service is really good. General American. Take a look at the menu... there's something for everyone with generous portions.
